About Us

Preserving human autonomy in an automated world.

Alesvia exists because automation is outpacing the institutions meant to govern it. We are building the intellectual and structural foundation for a world where technology serves human agency — not the other way around.

Our Mission

To establish and defend the human baseline — the non-negotiable set of rights, capacities, and boundaries that must be preserved as automation reshapes society. We do this through research, education, ethical technology initiatives, and institutional advocacy.

Philosophy

We believe that the most dangerous technologies are not the ones that fail, but the ones that succeed too well — systems so persuasive, so convenient, and so seamlessly integrated that opting out becomes socially or practically impossible. Alesvia exists to ensure that opting out remains a viable choice.

Origin

Alesvia was founded in the Czech Republic as a registered institute (z.ú.) — a legal structure designed for mission-driven organizations that prioritize public benefit over profit. This structure ensures that our work remains aligned with our principles, not with shareholder expectations.

Legal Structure

As a z.ú. (ústav) under Czech law, Alesvia operates with a statutory board, transparent governance, and a mandate to serve the public interest. This is not a startup. It is an institution built to outlast trends and resist capture.
